Cavan, Ontario is a lovely countryside venue of rolling hills and panoramic
views, in the heart of farm and field, and a charming painting locale for
many artists.  This is the place to paint scenic, pastoral landscapes featuring
horses, cattle, sheep and country homes.  Amazing panoramic views from many

Close by is the turn of the century town of Millbrook, Ontario for those artists who love the gingerbread architecture in the historic town, the stately Victorian homes, the old Needler’s Mill, the creek and the pond.  Also close by are forested areas, the Cavan Creek, and just up the road, marshland.

Visitors are encouraged to watch the artists at work on all the days and free
children’s hands-on art activity centers will be set up in the Town of Millbrook.  In the

evenings there will be free musical entertainment at the Legion.  On Sunday, October 1st, there will be a reception with finger food for the artists and guests who will enjoy the Awards Celebration from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m.

The “Fresh off the Easel” exhibition and sale of art painted at the outdoor painting festival will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. and will allow visitors to purchase the paintings they like the best.  The remarkable new works can be added to the buyer’s collections and they will have seen the work being painted.

pastoral vistas, creek and marsh scenes, forested hills, and anywhere in the
